The Unstoppable Web

An office that lives only in your browser tabs.

MeshDesk connects everyone in the room directly, tab‑to‑tab, over a live WebRTC mesh. Type a word and it lands on your teammate's screen without ever touching a server — because it never does.

This panel reads your browser's live connection state. Nothing here is fetched from anywhere — it's just what's true, right now, in this tab.

How it actually works

No mystery. No black box.

Here's the honest, unglamorous version of what happens between "Create a workspace" and your teammate seeing your cursor blink.

01

Say hello, once

Your browser briefly pings a free, public signalling relay just to trade connection details with another browser — like exchanging phone numbers before a call. No document content ever passes through it.

02

Shake hands directly

WebRTC opens an encrypted data channel straight between the two browsers. From this point on, the relay is out of the conversation completely.

03

Type, drop, sync

Every keystroke and file chunk travels peer‑to‑peer. If a direct link can't form with someone, a neighbouring tab relays it one hop — a real mesh, not just a star.

04

Close the tab, close the room

Nothing was ever written to a database. When the last tab closes, the shared workspace goes with it. Only what you personally downloaded stays on your device.

Everything below runs in this tab. Nothing is sent to us — there's no "us" to send it to.

Get into a room

Pick a name, then create a fresh workspace or join one with a code someone shared with you.

We'll generate a short room code and turn this tab into the room's first anchor peer.

The fine print, in plain words

What we can promise, and what we can't

There is no database. We can't leak, sell, or be subpoenaed for what we never had.
One free relay, used briefly. A public signalling broker helps two browsers find each other, for a moment, and never sees your content.
Strict corporate firewalls can block direct links. That's a WebRTC limit, not something MeshDesk can route around.
Built for small teams, from two people to a few dozen. It's a mesh you can actually see, not an infinite cloud.
